Description: Backfilling using gob, coal combustion by-products, and fine coal processing waste based backfills without significant ground control problems.
Status: Demonstrated Research
Advantages: In a room-and-pillar panel, the extraction ration can be increased from its current value of about 56% to about 64% without any ground control problems due to the increased extraction ration
Limitations: Generally, underground coal slurry disposal is most practical in locations where old mines are completely below drainage without the possibility of leakage
